Vietnam–EU: Hiring Vietnamese Workers To Work in Europe: What You Need To Know?

In recent years, the demand for hiring internationally is increasing significantly in Europe. Many employers turn their attention to a great force of laborers – Vietnam.

However, when it comes to international hiring, you also need to acknowledge that:

 

1.The time of process

International recruitment takes time. The time of the whole process depends on the countries they will work in. It would take from 3 months up to 6 months. 

For example, for Austria, Vietnamese workers only need a maximum of 3 months from the date of start recruiting to the day they fly to Austria. For Bulgaria it is around 3 to 4 months but for Hungary it is up to 6 months due to long Visa appointments. 

Therefore, if you would like to hire Vietnamese workers, you should have a long-term plan and be patient with them.

 

2 . Documents needed

In order to hire Vietnamese workers legally, you have to provide legal documents of your business’s registration, license and some of the other documents. This is because the Vietnam Labor Ministry needs to check your eligibility and ability to ensure the benefits of Vietnamese workers.

 

3. Accommodation and Salary

To hire foreign workers, you also have to provide them at least accommodation free of charge and a good salary.  Some employers also provide Vietnamese workers food allowance (around 100-150 USD). Usually, the minimum accepted salary is above 800 USD which is the Net salary after taxes and insurance. The salary also depends on the country itself, it needs to be above the minimum accepted salary in this country. 

4.Overtime work

Vietnamese workers always wish that they have more chances to work overtime to ensure they have a good income. Some would like to work up to 12 hours per day and some can endure more. 

Therefore, as an employer, it would be great if you give them more chance to work overtime and pay them for the overtime work as the law regulated.
